What have you done today to make you feel proud??

Over the summer I had a bit of a rest from blogging (did you notice šŸ˜‰ ) and partook in the art of “being a couch potato” it takes real skill so I’m told. Ā There is some rubbish on the telly but there is also a few gems. Ā Now I’ve given “Miranda” a try – series 1 has been repeated on BBC1. Ā I tried. I failed.

BUT randomly I did get a great idea from this scene ….

I have decided to do a monthly blog prompt and hope you will join me in giving it ago. Ā The blog prompt for the next 4 weeks is “What have you done today to make you feel proud!?” Ā inspired by Miranda and Heather Small. Ā If you haven’t seen Miranda you will probably know the song it was played a lot during the Olympics but if not check it out on You Tube.

It can be anything from Ā a huge new contract, to photographing someone famous, publishing a book or your first online order, lovely feedback from a customer,Ā recruitingĀ someone new or winning an award. Ā As long as it made you PROUD!!

What do you need to do!

  • Blog must beĀ published on or beforeĀ Monday 22nd October 2012Ā on your own site/blog.
  • If you tweet, pleaseĀ tweet your URLĀ and includeĀ @CharlieMoosĀ in the tweet so we can RT it.
  • Please within the blog link to this postĀ http://joannedewberry.co.uk/blogging-2/what-have-you-done-today-to-make-you-feel-proud
  • You are welcome to use the image above either via right click or the html code provided.

This isn’t as easy as you think – well at least not for me! Will have to try hard to do something that I can blog about.

If it helps, I did a seminar some months ago and the seminar leader asked us how many things we’d achieved in our life? Most people said around 20. Of course, the answer is 1000s from winning Olympic medals to managing to get your children to school on time to earning the money to buy the lovely handbag you wanted!

I think it helps to think about it on a micro level; daily triumph of getting kids to school, managing to be kind to idiotic person, managing email inbox, good enough mother etc. Today I have managed to list my CPD activities for the year; small task but massively resistant to it. V proud of that one!

I’m proud to be a Dewberry (even though I’m now a “Cross”, but not a Cross-Dewberry!). My sister is still a Dewberry, as is my mother, who married a Dewberry, God rest his beautiful soul.
