Day in the Life of …. Dufflebobble

Dufflebobble is my mum and I creating handmade vintage inspired gifts such as Bunting and Doorstops, we also create fabric brooches and bags and love getting crafty with beautiful fabrics.

I have two small girls, Rosie (22months) and Kitty (3months) so no day is ‘typical‘ but generally we all get up and have breakfast during which time I usually stitch together some ‘petals‘ for fabric flowers.  Mum pops round and after a few nappy changes and loads of washing later, its nap time.  We like to use this time to cut out templates of doorstops, mum cuts bunting and we piece things together so that during the next nap time we can sew them together.

During times when mum takes the girls out for a walk I check emails, update status’s on Facebook and add things to our Folksy shop. After dinner and play time we get the babies to bed and its back to embellishing and creating.

It’s an exhausting routine but we love creating beautiful things so we keep going. We laugh a lot and find everything about our ‘job‘ amusing and entertaining, which makes the hard work all the more pleasurable. We haven’t quite got the girls stitching anything yet but I’m sure we will do in the future.

How lovely that you work with your mum. Sounds like a very busy but enjoyable schedule.

Dufflebobble make the most fabulous crafts. I’ve bought plenty of beautiful handmade gifts for my friends and family, all of which have been over the moon and said how fabulous they all are.  The brooches and doorstops in particular are gorgeous. Would recommend Dufflebobble a thousand times over for unique, quality handmade crafts made with lots of ginger bubbliness and love x
