Blogging for Business Booklet

Back in March 2011 when I was heavily pregnant with Olive I held a local workshop about blogging for business.  How, what and why to developing your business via a blog.

I used the workbook from the event as an e-book only available via this website and my email signature.  Whilst doing my accounts one day I was surprised to notice just how many e-books I had sold.  In a relatively low cost manner.   It got me thinking about how I like to receive and use information.  With the help of a few advertisers and funding from Enterprise Nation I am pleased to announce my Blogging for Business Booklet is now at the printers!

I’ll need to spend time, maybe a long time, getting my head around blogging but the booklet will be at hands reach at all times.

Hi Joanne. Is yours a website/blog combo? I’m very interested to see that your adverts also appear on the mobile version. I was considering blogging again partly to raise some (relevant) advertising income but most blogs don’t seem to display ads in the mobile view – a increasingly popular way for people to view blogs. What do you think of this?

Oooo good question. Could possibly be the template that I’m using. This is a wordpress.org blog hosted on webhostUK. Advertising is a great way to generate an income.

I came across Joanne in early July when the owner of Ice Jewellery alerted Ice agents and consultants that Joanne was running her blogging competition. I entered the competition and THEN bought the booklet. Maybe if I’d done it the other way round I would have won 🙂 Anyway, the booklet has some very good tips on blogging for your business, including why you should, how to make it easier to fit it in, what platforms to use, to name just a few. It is written in a chatty, friendly way and has some guest articles from other bloggers. I recommend it to any home/small business for its useful tips and guidance.

Nice size and format but I think I need a beginers guide as I did not understand some things and had to look them up. Also a lot of adverts.

Hi Hayley what didn’t you understand?? I take on board your point about adverts but most were relevant and they also paid towards the printing and design costs of the booklet.

Following receiving and reading my copy of Blogging for Business I was so inspired it gave me the nudge I needed to go and pen 25 x 300 word blog posts! I had been putting it off for months because I just needed that extra bit of guidance and reassurance to ‘go for it’! Many thanks Joanne, I look forward to you releasing your next booklet for business!

What a great booklet 🙂 well worth the money. I’ve recently set up my own website and blog for my business & this booklet is really helpful. I will keep returning to it for tips as I go along. Thank you!

booklet received on Saturday, as stated. Many thanks.
As a complete Blogging Virgin, a lot of it doesn’t mean too much to me yet. What is SEO – search engine optimisation???
I found the content of the booklet got a bit lost among all the advertisements. I would have liked to see the information stand out more.

I shall be checking out our website to see if I can attach a blog to it (if that’s what you do?!), researching some other business blogs and I guess JUMP IN!

Hi Suze, sorry if you found it a bit confusing, it can be hard to ensure that you pitch at a level to suit those with some website knowledge and those without. Sadly the advertising is what paid to have the booklet printed I wish had been able to afford not to do this. Please do let me know what your link is I’d love to take a read of your blog! Thank you

Great inspirational stuff! So hard trying to fit in so much everyday (work and homelife) and blogging has been one aspect whilst working for myself that I’ve avoided. Will now try harder!
