Discovering the Journey with Emma Collins

Becoming the manager of one of the UK’s fastest growing online craft clubs has been really exciting.

After having my first daughter in 2009 and my second daughter in 2010 I was lost in sleep deprivation, far too much washing and trying to be the domesticated wife my husband thought he married (he soon discovered he was wrong but by then it was too late!) but this year I have found my voice and have fallen in love all over again.

It’s not just a job, or a business. It’s much more than that. It’s a creative outlet and the home of life-changing discovery of finding your passion. You will discover a sense of vitality as you delve into this fabulous world of Creativity. It’s the perfect place to push your creative boundaries.

If you’re not familiar with the craft industry then I fear that you are really missing out on something truly special. The creation of beautiful handmade cards and telling stories in modern day scrapbooking is such a beautiful way to be creative. There is no right or wrong way of doing it and there isn’t any urgency about it or the need to be super creative.

The trend of upcycling and recycling has encouraged today’s society to become thriftier and less wasteful. As a result many people find themselves being far craftier than they ever knew they were.

Not forgetting the incredible pattern design world we live in. The papers and embellishments to complete your masterpiece makes you feel like you have been sucked into an Aladdin’s cave full of treasures and the child-like excitement takes over, making you want to explore far more closely the intricate detail of every gorgeous paper, button and stamp.

The Creativity Club is all about paper crafting at its very best. A wealth of inspiring and technique driven projects, beautifully presented TV shows, a colossal library of exclusive downloadable content to get those creative sparks flying and whether you’re brand new to crafting or someone who has been crafting for a while, the online Creativity Club creates the perfect community to belong to.

I love all things crafty, but I have to admit I have never tackled scrapbooking. I keep meaning to, but haven’t as yet. Maybe this will inspire me to give it a go!
