Adding a Newsletter Tab to your Fanpage

Facebook Tip #4 I talk about managing your tabs and making sure they work for you and your business. I use Mailchimp for my newsletter but the same principal works for other newsletter providers.

Firstly you need to add a STATIC FBML to your fanpage.
Go to the Static FBML application.
Click “Add to my Page.”

To make this a tab on your Fanpage you need to go to “Edit Page“, select manage applications, then click on FBML and make sure the tab setting is added.

Now still in manage applications, under FBML click on “Go to Application” and your ready to rock and roll.

Using this applications you can pretty much add anything via a html code.
Fine Soft Furnishings has used it to create a “welcome” page – all new fans will land on this directly before seeing the main wall.
Linen at Home uses it as a contact form (theres a link at the bottom if you fancy adding one of these)

I have used it on Networking Mummies and Charlie Moo’s to add a Newsletter Tab. To do this I have simply added the html code that you would normally put on your website. If like me you use Mailchimp then there are step by step screen shot instructions on Mailchimp’s blog.  But as I said earlier if you already have the html code for your own newsletter provider you just add it to the FBML box and change the title to Newsletter and save.
