Complacency: just because my class is full this term doesn’t mean I can ease off on advertising or the quality of class I provide! Need to keep advertising to attract new clients for next term and need to keep providing a quality class to ensure families enjoy the class, stay for next term and, hopefully, recommend me to their friends. Not a funny or witty reply but true! :o)

My dislike of finance. I have to do it, but if I left it as long as I wanted to it would never get done, I wouldn’t send quotes, invoices, or chase money! But there are just so many much more fun aspects I prefer to do!

Need to get sourcing products right, otherwise lose too much in overstock and profits fly out the window!!

My business risks extinction if amid the daily toil, challenges and successes I neglect to remember and draw upon the initial inspiration and enthusiasm which led me to this point. The first notebooks bulging with ideas, the butterflies in the tummy, the hopes, the courage to ‘have a go’. xx

Not making enough money, by charging for events/services at low prices equals very little profit, often a trait with women in business. We need to know our worth and stick by it, and to copy a well known brand “We Are Worth It”!!!

Nobody buys from the invisible woman or her business. It’s all about making the most from all marketing and PR opportunities (which may or may not all be free!). You’ve got to maximise all exposure to ensure you are getting the most of your investment (be that time or money). People buy from people. Be the best, nicest, professional you can!
