Usborne Nature Journal Review

There is nothing I love more than planning in my bullet journal which this year is a TOAD Diary, playing with pens, stickers and making collages. Back in January I made a little doodle in my bujo and am now that doodle is a set of freelancers productivity stickers perfect for any mum juggling family life and a small business. From brilliant idea to new product! Each A4 sheet contains 12 designs, 8 stickers of each making a whooping 96 stickers providing you enough sticker action for months to come.

I also adore being outside, which is handy when I live on the edge of the New Forest. Every June The Wildlife Trusts have a month dedicated to getting outside and enjoying the world around us called 30 Days Wild.  The whole 30 Days Wild month really fits in perfect with my new found love of nature, sit spots and netwalking. As adults we live our lives at such a fast pace and really underestimate the wellbeing qualities that slow, meditative activities such as walking, being in nature and bullet journaling provide.

Nature Journal Usborne Books

As soon as I saw the new Usborne Nature Journal I knew we had to have one. Although it’s aimed at 7+ I absolutely adore this book. It’s hard back which not only makes it feel like a special book but helps it to keep it’s shape when you stuff it with bits and pieces and the yellow elastic contrasts the teal and white cover.  Once you open your eyes to the world around you you’ll be so surprised what you’ll see.  Last week I nearly stepped on a magnificent stag beetle who was lost in the carpark.  The same weekend we spent the day rescuing beautiful coal tit chicks who decide to fledge via the kitten’s mouth and our pond! Luckily we managed to save most of them and love watching them return to feed off the feeders with mum and dad. Daddy Moo bought me a HP Sproket for Christmas I’ve been making stickers to pop inside the journal although we have a camera with us at all times on our phones how often do you print them out? The Usborne Nature Journal makes a beautiful scrapbook too.

Megan has a flower press filled with special flowers that we haven’t known what to do with and I can see this book becoming a group project. Not only is it perfect for nature lovers of all ages, but this inspirational journal is also filled with beautiful illustrations, intriguing facts and each page is designed with plenty of space for your own notes and drawings.  What I love about this journal is that excellent paper quality has been selected, it’s thick and textured meaning that you get very little bleed and cross over which I hate!

The book is £8.99 and well worth it. If you want to grab a copy and don’t want to wait for the giveaway to end then please contact the lovely Zoe Newth Independent Usborne Organiser : 07714 632345Nature journal Leaf recognition
