Sensitive homemade shaving cream :
For this recipe, you’ll need the following:
- 80ml of coconut oil or almond oil.
- 120ml of shea butter.
- 10 drops of your favourite essential oil.
To create your own sensitive shaving cream with these ingredients, whip your shea butter in a bowl and slowly add your coconut or almond oil. Afterwards, continue whipping this until it is thoroughly mixed and add in your chosen essential oils. When it’s all mixed together, place in a container and use whenever you need it.
Aloe gel and soap homemade shaving cream :
For a kind and soothing shaving cream, this one is a great choice! To make it, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 60ml of natural liquid soap.
- 60ml of aloe vera gel.
- 120ml of filtered water.
- 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil.
- 10 drops of your favourite essential oil.
To create your soothing shaving cream, simply combine all the ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a container or pump and use as and when required.
Oil and honey homemade shaving cream :
Oil and honey combines to create a nourishing shaving cream, great for sensitive skin, which can work wonders and prevent irritation. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- 120ml of sweet almond oil.
- 60ml of natural liquid soap.
- 60ml of cocoa butter.
- 60ml of raw honey.
- 180ml of warm water.
- 10 drops of your favourite essential oil.
Put your cocoa butter in a saucepan with warm water on a gentle heat. Then, add the soap, honey and almond oil, mixing as you go. Wait for the mixture to cool down and then pour into a container or pump to use when you need it.
Peppermint homemade shaving cream :
A little peppermint has skincare benefits, but you should only use a small amount to avoid suffering any burning sensation on the skin. Here are the ingredients you’ll need for the peppermint shaving cream:
- 160ml of shea butter.
- 160ml of coconut oil.
- 1 drop of lavender oil or sunflower oil.
- A dab of peppermint oil.
Melt the shea butter in a pan on a low heat and after a while, add in your coconut oil. Before you add your lavender or sunflower oil, remove the pan from the heat. When all this is mixed together, add your dab of peppermint oil and give it another thorough mix.
Pour your mixture into a container and refrigerate it for a few hours until it becomes more solid. When you get the right consistency, whip the mixture on high speed until you’re left with fluffy shaving cream. Pour into a container or pump ready to use.
