There literally is nothing better than the feeling and excitement that comes from opening up a brand new notebook. The smell, the promise of a fresh new page! I love planning and doodling and of course coloured pens! Today I’m sharing with you some of my favourite stationery and if you hold on to the end you can even enter my little book birthday giveaway! Yass!
What Is The Purpose of Your Notebook?
Sounds like a random question but the purpose of your notebook will have a deciding factor on why you buy it. For example, if you want to create a bullet journal style doodle pad then you probably aren’t going to buy lined paper. There are so many well laid out notebooks around to help you plan and organise your thoughts, day, week and month.
Journalling and organising yourself effectively in written form;
- Improves self-esteem.
- Helps you sleep better.
- Reduces stress.
- Makes you happier.
- Improves health for your mind, body, spirit, and relationships.
- Decreases blood pressure.
Here are some of my favourite notebooks/planners I’ve been using, stroking, enjoying to organise my life, feel more productive and grateful.
This is one of my favourite dairies as it’s undated but lasts 6 months (although I don’t add weekends just Monday through to Friday so mine outlives the monthly calendars.) I love the layout of the Mål Paper Daily Goal Setter, adding affirmations, gratitude, goals and your to-do list in one place is a massive winner for me! I don’t always want to have multiple notebooks on the go.
Writing a gratitude journal is a great way to concentrate on the positive aspects of the day rather than dwelling on the negative. I feel like it really makes me clarify what goals I am working towards and takes my whole life into consideration, as when you work from home it’s harder to separate business and personal and as I AM my business why should I? Being authentically me is key. You’ll get 15% off when you use this link to buy ➡ Mål Paper.
A Lined Notebook from Nichola Cards:
I quite like my lined notebooks to have a decadent feel to them and these from Flamingo Paperie do not disappoint. The covers are matt textured with gold embossing and have a rich feel to them, available in multiple designs in sizes A5 & A6 I’m currently loving the flamingo range. The paper inside is really thick quality, perfect if like me you like to write in ink or fountain pens without smudging or bleeding. The A5 notebook also has an elastic strap to keep the notebook closed (or in my case lose pictures or receipts etc. from escaping!) priced at £6 and £3 they are perfect little notebooks for your handbag for when that flash of inspiration catches you in the car or for keeping lists the A6 is just screaming out for a list!
Traveller Notebook with Cork Fabric Cover:
I was literally blown away when this beautiful hand-sewn bound cork fabric wrap traveller notebook arrived. It’s absolutely stunning containing 5 inserts, each with 16 pages (80 pages) of EU Ecolabel white paper. This traveller notebook from Adventure Accessories is pocket-sized (approx 18cm x 13cm closed) with a coordinating faux suede cord wrap tie. Retailing for £11.25 it feels like a real notebook treat!
What is a Traveller Notebook?
It’s basically a simple leather cover notebook with elastic bands that hold thin paper notebooks – so says Google but this cork bound one is a work of art. It feels like the perfect place to store ideas, plans, travel diaries or goals. I can imagine Megan using one to sketch whilst out on a walk. It really does hold a multitude of possibilities.
