3 things I’m looking forward to at Mumsnet Workfest 2015

Sage UK have a vast and extensive database of Sage Business Experts who work with then producing content for their blog, guidance and opinions in twitter chats and a community of people in the thick of small business. As part of the Sage Business Experts I have been invited to attend Mumsnet Workfest on their behalf.

Workfest 2015 has landed! Our definitive women and work event is back, jam-packed with tips, tricks and expert advice to help you take your career to the next level. From kickstarting your career post-kids, to advice on flexible working; from start-up success stories, to pitching a fledgling business – Workfest has it all.

Here are 3 things I’m looking forward to :-

  1. CV Masterclass – my CV stopped in 2007 once I became a mother and stopped working for an employee. However I’m keen to update my CV to represent myself as I am now. But I’m never sure where to start.  I’m sure there will be a blog post about this soon!
  2. LinkedIn Masterclass – I have a profile, people follow me, endorse me and I share blog content on there. In a nutshell that is it! I have no idea how to “work it” and why I even should. I’m really looking forward to this.  You can follow me Joanne Dewberry on LinkedIn and if you have any tips to improving my profile do let me know.
  3. Michelle Mone – I’m really interested to hear what Michelle’s keynote speech will be about. It’s always empowering and inspirational to hear how others achieved their business goals and developed a global brand.

Are you attending Mumsnet Workfest? Tweet me if you are @CharlieMoos I’ll be live tweeting through the day.

This look good, I will keep it in mind for next year. I love hearing inspirational people talk. When I went to ‘Design your Career’ I left so inspired and fired up. I think that 2 days was largely responsible for where I am at now!
