I love getting out of my Harry Potter cupboard under the stairs office and networking. Working from home can be a super lonely place and it’s so good to get out chat to real life people. It’s reinvigorating, energising and I always leave feeling supported and raring to go. But what’s better than an networking opportunity? One where you can hear some of the most influential entrepreneurs in the UK give keynote sessions. I’m so excited to be getting a 3 day pass away from the children (Thank you Daddy Moo) and more importantly 3 days away from my business to visit Sage Summit UK. The opportunity to step away and come back with fresh eyes doesn’t offer itself up much these days so I’m grabbing this one with both hands.
Sage Summit UK 4/5th April 2017 :
It’s great to see not one but 2 Dragon’s speaking but also the immense line up of female talent, kudos to the organisers at Sage, Deborah Meaden, Kelly Hoppen MBE, Martha Lane Fox CBE the list goes on. A few years back Sage invited me to Mumsnet Workfest and the keynote speakers really make these kind of events, Stella and Dot talked about their failures and how they utilised them in order to move forward. I really think this is what makes an entrepreneur special, the ability to grow from failure and use these as their brand story/brand identity. I’ll make sure I tweet all the juicy bits.
The mixture of break out sessions is exceptional too. I seriously don’t know what to choose from. But I’m keen to grow my traffic into sales on Charlie Moo’s so the retail and sales sessions really appeal to me, in particular :
- The most cost-effective way to drive sales
- Retail experts – Driving the clicks
