I haven’t decided if I’m a) a PR machine or b) just in the right place at the right time. But I have had some excellent PR in the last few months. But for all this coverage I still find myself pulling apart every section. After years of wearing braces I had my front tooth damaged in accident, talk about devastation. However for years it has never bothered me, that one of my front teeth is visibly half the size of the other. So seeing a full page image of me smiling back from Prima Magazine or watching myself on video … I don’t always feel that sense of pride I possibly should more a sense of doom and embarrassment. Is this a typically English trait of mine?? Or do we all share this??
Do we always take the time to think about our achievements and pat ourselves on the back? Or are we too busy running forward, always thinking of the next thing on our list never stopping to smell the proverbial roses.
So its Friday morning, after another night of one of my children being ill …. we have the winter lurgy here! The sun is more than likely not shining where you are but lets just send a bit of cheer to each other …
Please write in the comments box something you have achieved business wise that your really proud of … I know its not a very English thing but lets see if a bit of self promotion see if we can kick start our mind into a great weekend!!
Found this useful wondering how you can show me your appreciation? Well, there are some ways you can say thanks and support my website: ➡
I think it is a common ‘human’ trait – I am terrible for not appreciating what it is I have achieved! But this year I am proud of the fact I reached the finals for two awards – the Mum & Working and the Mumpreur Awards! There were so many applicants and to actually reach the final selection felt amazing. It took me a while to grasp that this was an achievment though as for a while there all I could think of was the fact I hadn’t won LOL!! Human nature I guess!
I am also very proud of the sheer amount of orders that have come in since the beginning of the Summer and how I have managed to juggle everything myself with very little help. Very stressful at times but a huge achievement on my part!
You should be very proud of your achievments Joanne – you are a huge inspiration to so many other Mums out there running thier own businesses! x
WOO WOO!!
You go girl that is something to be sooooo very proud of!
Plus how many business guide books have you been featured in this year!!
