So I’m sitting here with a cup of English tea in front of me, and munching away on a delicious corgi shaped biscuit and I can’t help but smile about how creative we can be with our designs.
The UK has enjoyed a succession of events recently celebrating everything British. From the royal wedding last year to the Jubilee and Olympic games this year the shops are full of red, white and blue. It is really fantastic to see the impact the imminent Jubilee is having on the UK. My news feed on Facebook is currently full of photos of cakes that are being baked, union jack flags and bunting that friend’s children have been busy making, invitations and chatter about street parties and barbeques. There is a definite energetic buzz in the air which even I as a British expat can sense and feel proud of.
We’re seeing an explosion of design inspiration with new patriotic products flooding the market and there are some amazing items to choose from if you’re still looking for something to celebrate or remember the Jubilee by.
Here are just a few of my favourites:
Rebel Nails have designed a range of great Jubilee nail wraps, perfect for jazzing up your nails so they are ready for your Jubilee party.
Sam Miller has created a Jubilee Baby Grow so that even the youngest members of your family can join in.
Odds & Soxlets are celebrating the Jubilee with this unique range of super cute Dinkie Dollies.
Or how about adding a Jubilee inspired accessory with these fabulous fabric badges from Crafts Queen.
If you are like me and enjoy baking then a visit to Julias Kitchen is in order where you can learn how to make and ice your very own cupcakes. Take a look at these fantastic Jubilee themed cupcakes – almost too good to eat!
Of course along with celebrating at home we can add some Jubilee sparkle to our business too, below you can see an example of a Jubilee themed Facebook banner we created for Isabels Attic …
